AJ is an accomplished actor and character performer within the Halloween/horror genre, working year-round in many different mediums. AJ has performed voiceovers for Halloween/horror attractions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas. He also voiced the audiobook edition of Scary Stories: A Tribute to Terror.
As a live haunt performer, AJ spent his formative years working with esteemed home haunts.
Moving into the professional haunt world, AJ performed 30 roles for Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights across four haunt seasons.
AJ was later chosen to embody icon "Tape Head" for Ryan Turek's Slashback Video brand, including events, conventions, and commercials.
In 2018, AJ portrayed Patrick Hockstetter for the exclusive Warner Bros. backlot event Horror Made Here: A Festival of Frights.
In 2019, AJ originated the role of fast-talking fry cook Reggie McTavish in Los Angeles Haunted Hayride's "Midnight Falls" immersive storytelling scarezone. AJ regularly performs voiceovers for Los Angeles Haunted Hayride and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group.
In 2020, AJ joined Experiential Supply Co's family-friendly Haunt O' Ween LA event, helping entertain socially distant trick-or-treaters.
AJ also wrote and performed the voice for Spirit of Halloweentown's Benny character dialogue, as seen and heard in St. Helens, OR.
Throughout the years, AJ has appeared as a creature performer/FX makeup model for industry conventions. He also entertained guests at Fangoria's Re-Launch Party. AJ was later part of the operations, scenic, and art repair teams for Warner Bros./Ultra Productions “I Like Scary Movies" experience. Additionally, AJ has appeared as the host of multiple Halloween and horror marketplace events, frequently collaborating with the teams behind Salem's Market, Cursed Creatures, and Love, Pain and Stitches. AJ is also a published author, serving as an archivist and guest columnist for HauntVault and Horrorwood Presents. He has appeared on KTLA 5 Los Angeles News as a Halloween commentator. AJ is a member of The Haunted Attraction Association and The Halloween Preservation Society.
